* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * WHERE...Cuyama Valley, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills, Interstate 5 Corridor, San Luis Obispo County Interior Valleys, San Luis Obispo County Mountains, Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains, Southern Ventura County Mountains, Western Antelope Valley Foothills, and Western San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 Corridor. * WHEN...Until 6 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Information: Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive. |

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following counties, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura. * WHEN...Until 900 PM PST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rock slides and mud slides in areas of steep terrain. Minor debris flows. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 446 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated isolated to scattered showers moving across the Advisory area, and additional brief, moderate to heavy showers will occur through the evening hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Ventura, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Camarillo, San Luis Obispo, Lompoc, Paso Robles, Fillmore, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Ojai, Santa Ynez, Montecito, Point Conception, Agoura Hills, Woodland Hills and Moorpark. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of possible rock slides and mud slides in areas of steep terrain. |

* WHAT...For the Central Coast, large breaking waves of 10 to 15 feet, with local sets to 20 feet on Wednesday, and dangerous rip currents. For Los Angeles County, 6 to 10 feet and dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches, Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Minor coastal flooding possible around mid- morning and late-evening times of high tide on Tuesday and Wednesday. Information: Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in such conditions, stay off the rocks. |
