* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. 6 to 12 inches of snow above 5,000 feet. Up to 2 feet at the higher elevations. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...A portion of central California. * WHEN...From late Wednesday night through late Thursday night. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Information: Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary. |
